I’m SOOOO excited to finally be able to share these gorgeous photos! Just a few days before Christmas, I met Karla down at the Stoneleigh Hotel in uptown. Since she was getting married there in the spring, they let her shoot her bridal portraits there. The location is amazing, and we got some really incredible shots. Karla’s a blast to shoot too, so we were cracking up the entire time. Stay tuned, I’ll have photos from her wedding posted within the next few days!

I absolutely adore this family. Back at the end of 2011, I shot photos of little Gracelynn when she was only
3 months old. Then I got to shoot both
engagement photos and
wedding pictures for her mommy and daddy. Brett went into the Army shortly after they were married, and now they’re stationed in Georgia – but they’re still calling me to take photos! Back in May, Kaylee wanted to send him some photos, so we headed out and shot some
family pictures at the Arboretum.
Now they’re expecting another baby! Kaylee was back in Dallas visiting her family, and she called me up to see if we could shoot some maternity photos. We met up at Babe’s Chicken in Frisco and shot some great pictures (even though little Gracie wasn’t too happy about the whole thing.) I can’t wait for them to have their little boy and come back so we can do a session with the whole family!

Almost a year ago, I got to shoot photos of this cute little dude when he was only 5 days old (you can see them
here). Just like the first time, he was super grumpy and not ready to strut his stuff as a baby model. He’d been sick all week and just wasn’t in the mood… Even still, we were able to get a few cute shots of him. A few weeks later, I headed over to his house and took pictures at his first birthday party, and we got a few more great shots.

The Lasleys didn’t want a huge wedding, so they had a private ceremony and then had friends and family over to the house for a small reception. Steve knew about me because he’s the step-dad of one of the gals I’d shot recently, so he hired me to come shoot the party. It was a fun little party, and everyone got a huge kick out of the fact that the color of the wedding cake matched the bride and groom’s shirts.

This adorable little kiddo had a pirate themed birthday party at Pump It Up in Dallas. They wanted to hire a party photographer to capture the party so that they wouldn’t have to worry about wrangling the kids AND taking pictures. I got the call, and had an absolute blast shooting all the kids and parents running around like crazy. His dad ordered a really cool pirate ship cutout and made giant sails to put in the fake boat. Since the boat was up against a blue wall, I thought it would be cool to key out the blue and make it look like the ship was out in the ocean. The resulting photos were a HUGE hit.

Thanksgiving weekend, I got to shoot a surprise birthday party for a gal’s 30th birthday. The girls that threw the party went all out with incredible party decorations, catered BBQ, and even custom beer koozies. They also rented a “photo wall” – it was a huge walllpapered wall with picture frames that were cut out, so people could pose for photos “in” the frames. The photo wall was a huge hit, and I got some really funny photos.

This family called me up and wanted to knock out some family photos to use as Christmas presents, so we got together on Thanksgiving weekend in Allen and shot some pics. Both little girls were ridiculously cute and VERY full of attitude, so we laughed a lot. They had so much fun playing on the train tracks that most of the afternoon, they forgot to look at the camera.

Just a month ago, I was shooting
maternity shots at White Rock Lake of this cute little girl’s mommy and daddy – and now she’s here! This time I drove up north and set up my portable studio so we could get some cute shots without disturbing the lil’ bundle of joy. She was only just a few days old and a super small 5 pounds when we shot these photos!

This was the second year of the insanely successful AMLI Casino Night, and we were invited to shoot the party. “Casino Royale” was held at the Warwick-Melrose downtown, and it was a hugely popular party this year. With 4 big rooms of Vegas-style gambling, food, and drinks, how could anyone have a bad time?
Guests got to spend several hours gambling, and at the end of the night, casino chips were traded in for raffle tickets. Everyone dropped tickets in the jars for the items they wanted, and winners were drawn just before the end of the party. When all was said and done, the event raised nearly $10,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Alissa gave me a call almost as soon as she got pregnant – she was SO excited to be able to shoot maternity pictures. She lives in Dennison, but she wanted to come down to Dallas to shoot her photos. We headed to White Rock Lake and got some great shots on a pier and at one of the awesome parks. We finished up with some studio shots on a white background, and we ended up with some awesome photos.

I’m a little partial to this munchkin… ’cause he’s mine! Max is a complete firecracker – he definitely fits his red hair. Almost every time we go out, someone asks us if he’s the baby from the Captial one commercial with Jimmy Fallon. Unfortunately for his college fund, he’s not… but we still think he’s incredibly photogenic. Other people are always amazed at how well he poses for pictures, but considering the fact that he’s grown up with Daddy’s camera in his face, it’s not really surprising. We shot these right in our living room with our portable setup – we can bring strobes and the background to your house so we can shoot you or your kiddos in the comfort of your own home.

I shot
infant photos of this little guy back in February when he was only 5 days old. His mommy wanted to do something special for Father’s Day, so when Mommy and Daddy were out of town, Grandma brought little Hudson over so we could take these pictures. We had him hang on to the letters that his mom bought, and then she took these three and put them into a frame that held all three. Daddy loved it, and you can see why – this kiddo is seriously cute.

I’ve been friends with this couple for years, so it was a blast shooting their engagement pictures. We actually shot these after they were already married – maybe it’ll be the new trend in engagement pictures? Wade is a HUGE basketball fan, so between college basketball playoffs and the weather not cooperating, we ended up not being able to shoot before their wedding… so a few weeks after they got back from the honeymoon, we got together in downtown Dallas and shots some after-wedding engagement pics!

I always love shooting followup pictures so we can see how a family has grown… Last October, I shot
maternity photos for the Baughers at one of my favorite parks in Highland Park. About a month later, I took
pictures of little Isaac when he was just a few days old. His parents called us up and wanted to shoot some family photos, so we went back to the same spot where we shot their maternity pics. Isaac has become a total ham and was really fun to shoot – you can see for yourself below:

If you’ve been following our blog posts, you’ve seen several pictures of this family before. We shot
infant portraits of little Gracie when she was just 3 months old, then another round a few months later. We also shot
engagement pictures of her mommy and daddy, and we shot their
wedding photos just over a month ago. Just after they got back from their honeymoon, daddy went into basic training for the Army. Mommy wanted to send him some pictures of his girls while he was there, so we met up at the Dallas Arboretum and spent a few hours shooting some pictures.
